I've been looking for a song called "Addicted" by Dan Seals. Dan covered this song of Cheryl Wheeler. I first heard it in college. I was riding a campus bus back to my apartment (oh Treehouse II, how I miss you). Our bus drivers were also college students and would play the local radio stations. This country song was playing on the radio one day. It's been in my head since then. One day about a year ago I searched for it by it's lyrics and found the name of the song, the writer, and the artist who covered it.
Finding the song was easy. Buying it was harder. I don't like typical mall based music stores and their over-priced CD's. So my main music service is the iTunes Music Store. But iTunes didn't have my song. Fast forward a few months later and today I find my song. The rate at which they are growing their music library is astounding!
You might not like the song as much as I do. Perhaps the song has a meaning to me that makes it better than it actually is. I don't know. But if you can find something that brings back a memory, especially if it is a happy one, then that is a great thing.
